Comments let you and your reviewers leave feedback right on the prototype, pinned to the element it's about. When a comment asks for a change, an editor can click Fix with AI and Phluffle makes that change as a new version.
Who can comment
Anyone with access to the prototype can comment, including people who can only view it. See Share links and inviting people. People who only have a public share link can't comment.
Comments are free. They use no credits.
Add a comment
- Open the prototype, click Comments in the top bar, then click + Add a comment.
- When you see Click the spot you want to comment on, click the element in the preview.
- Type in Add a comment… use @ to mention someone.
- Press ⌘/Ctrl + Enter or click Post.
Your comment is pinned to that element on that screen, shown as a numbered pin in the preview. Comments can be up to 5,000 characters.
Mention someone
Type @ to open a list of people, and keep typing a name to narrow it down. Click a name, or press Enter or Tab to pick the top match. You can only mention people who have access to the prototype.
Reply to a thread
Open a thread, type your reply and click Reply. Replies stay with the original comment, so the whole conversation is in one place.
Resolve and reopen threads
When feedback has been handled, click Resolve. The person who started the thread and anyone who can edit the prototype can resolve or reopen it.
- Switch between Open and Resolved to see each list.
- Replying to a resolved thread reopens it.
Edit or delete a comment
You can edit and delete your own comments. The prototype's owner can delete any comment.
Comment emails
Phluffle emails people when:
- They're @mentioned.
- Someone replies to a thread (everyone in the thread is emailed).
- Someone starts a new thread (the prototype's creator is emailed).
You never get an email about your own comments.
Turn a comment into a change with Fix with AI
Fix with AI turns a comment into a new version. The AI makes this change as a new version and resolves the comment.
- Open the comment thread.
- Click Fix with AI.
Phluffle uses the comment, its replies, and the element and screen it's pinned to. When the comment is pinned to one screen, the change is limited to that screen, so the rest of the prototype stays as it is.
When it's done:
- If it worked: the thread gets a reply, "Fixed with AI in vN.", and is resolved. The new version shows the badge Fix with AI from a comment in the chat.
- If it didn't finish: the thread gets a reply saying so, and stays open. You can try again or make the change in the chat.
What you need
- Edit access to the prototype.
- An open (not resolved) thread.
- Enough credits. Fix with AI uses credits like any prompt. See Plans and credits.
- No other version building at the same time.
Tip Write comments the way you'd write a prompt: say what should change and how. "Change the label to Book now and make it green" works better than "this button is off".
Let a coding agent handle comments
If you've connected Claude Code or Cursor, the coding agent can see your open comments and resolve them, optionally with a reply about what it changed. See Connect a coding agent.
