Phluffle is a prototyping tool you talk to. You describe a product (or show it a screenshot) and an AI builds a working prototype with real screens. This page explains the few ideas that everything else builds on.
Prototypes
A prototype is one product idea: an app, a website, a dashboard. It has a name, a history of versions, and the people who can see it. Your prototypes live on the Prototypes page; prototypes in a team workspace are shared with the team.
Under the hood, a prototype is a single web page (HTML, styled with Tailwind CSS, with plain JavaScript for the interactions). That's why it works everywhere: in the editor, on a share link, as a download, or published as a live app.
Screens
A prototype is made of screens: Home, Sign in, Dashboard, and so on. Buttons and links move between them, just like a real app. You can see screens three ways:
- Preview: one screen at a time, fully clickable, in Desktop size or Mobile size.
- The screen strip under the preview: a thumbnail of every screen. Click one to jump to it.
- The Canvas: every screen on one board, with arrows showing where each button goes. You can also plan new screens there. See The Canvas.
Phone apps are designed for a 390-pixel-wide screen and shown in a phone-sized view automatically.
Versions
Every change makes a new version: v1, v2, v3… Versions are never overwritten. You can open any older version, compare, and make it current again with Restore. New prompts always build on the current version. See Versions, restore and retry.
There are several ways to make a version:
| How | What it's good for | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| A prompt in the chat | Anything: new screens, features, restyles | Yes |
| Scope a prompt to one screen or element | Focused changes | Yes, usually fewer |
| Visual Edit | Text, colours, spacing, images by hand | No |
| Phlow on the Canvas | Adding screens and links you've planned | Yes |
| Fix with AI on a comment | Turning feedback into a change | Yes |
| A coding agent saving its work | Changes made in Claude Code or Cursor | No |
Chat and Agent mode
By default each prompt is handled in one pass (Chat). Agent mode plans the work, builds it step by step, checks its own work (links, screens, accessibility, phone layouts) and fixes what it finds. You choose in Settings → Preferences. Agent mode is part of Pro, and new accounts get a 48-hour free trial. See Agent mode.
Credits
AI work is paid for with credits. Each generation costs what the AI actually used, converted to credits, so a small change costs less than a whole new app. You need at least 5 credits to start a generation. Failed generations are free; if you stop one part-way, you only pay for what was written.
Hand edits, comments, sharing, downloads and saves from coding agents never use credits.
New accounts get 100 credits. Pro includes 500 credits every month, and you can buy packs of 500 that never expire. See Plans and credits.
Free and Pro
Everyone can build, iterate, hand-edit, comment, share links, work in teams, download the project and push to GitHub. Pro ($9/month) adds 500 monthly credits, Agent mode, Live Deploy with real data, custom domains and the SEO Optimizer, and coding agents. Pro Enterprise ($125/month) makes a whole team of up to 25 people Pro.
